The Dornheim Segmenter Basic enables you to:
- view images from inside the body in 2D and 3D representation.
- achieve optimum 3D orientation through the 3D cutting planes in axial, coronal and sagittal sectional view.
- create models from structures within your image data using segmentation tools such as drawing (with layer interpolation), threshold and region growing.
- generate 3D models and use already existing 3D models.

In addition to the premium version, it offers a whole range of advanced tools for automatic measurement and analysis of segmentations and 3D models as well as the possibility of targeted content editing of 3D voxel data sets and the creation of complex 3D visualizations including multiple volume renderings, existing 3D models, textures, animation and annotations.
The Dornheim Segmenter Professional enables you to:
- use all functions of the Segmenter Premium.
- automatically determine diameters, volumes, cross sections, distances and other measurement values relevant to your segmentations and models.
- carry out automatic measurements on sagittal, frontal and transverse planes.
- analyze the extent to which components are related, how porous a structure is, how many holes an object has and how they are formed.
- improve noisy and poorly recorded data sets.
- set textures on 3D models.
