We strive to make the process as personalized as possible to your needs. To this end, we will store, process and transmit your content and related information. This related information includes, but is not limited to, your profile information to help you collaborate with other users and share your content, as well as information such as file size, when a file was uploaded, who contributed to it and what usage activities were performed on it.

Contacts - By giving us access to your contacts, you can more easily share and collaborate on your files, send messages more easily, and invite others to use the services. In this case, we will store these contacts on our servers for your use.

Usage information - We collect information about how you use the services. This includes actions you take on your account (such as sharing, editing, viewing, creating and moving files or folders). We use this information to provide, improve and market our services and to protect our users.

Device information - We also collect information from and about the devices you use to access our services. This includes IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, the web page you visited before visiting our websites and any identifiers associated with your devices. If you do not wish to receive a particular type of marketing material from us, simply click on the unsubscribe link in the appropriate email or change your preferences in your private account.

It happens that we contact people who do not have a Dornheim.cloud account. For recipients in the EU we will obtain or have a third party obtain your consent for us before contacting you. If you receive an email and no longer wish to be contacted by Dornheim.Cloud, you can unsubscribe and be removed from our contact list via a link in the message.

Legal basis for processing your data - We collect and use the personal data described above to provide you with services in a reliable and secure manner. We also collect and use personal information for our own legitimate business purposes. Where we process your personal data for other purposes, your consent will either be obtained in advance or our partners will be required to obtain such consent.

To whom we make this data available

We may provide information to others as described below, but we do not sell it to advertisers or other third parties.

External companies working for or with Dornheim - Dornheim may work with various trusted third-party companies (such as customer support and IT service providers) to help us provide, improve, protect or market our services in a professional manner. These third parties access your information to perform functions on our behalf. We are also responsible for how these third parties handle your information in accordance with our instructions.

Other Dornheim Companies - Dornheim shares infrastructure, systems and technology with other Dornheim companies to provide, improve, protect and market Dornheim corporate services. To this end we process your information within the Dornheim companies to the extent permitted by law and in accordance with their terms and conditions and policies.

Other Users - Our services display information such as your name, profile picture, device and email address to other users with whom you work or share content.

There are also some features that allow you to share more information with other users.

Other applications - You can connect your Dornheim account to third-party services. This will allow Dornheim and these third parties to share information about you and data in your account so that Dornheim and these third parties can provide, improve, protect and market their services. Please note, however, that the use of your information is subject to the privacy policies and terms and conditions of third-party service providers.

How we protect the data of our users

Security - Dornheim employs a team of employees whose task it is to protect your data and to check this protection for weak points in the system. In addition to two-step scanning, encryption of dormant files and notifications of new devices and applications linked to your account, we are constantly working on additional features to keep your information secure. We use automated technologies to detect abusive behavior and content that could harm our services, you, or other users.

User Control Features - You can access, edit, download and delete your personal information by logging into your Dornheim account and visiting your account settings page.

Retention - When you register for an account with us, we retain information that you store on our services for as long as your account exists or as long as we need it to provide the services to you. If you delete your account, we will also initiate the deletion of this information after 30 days. Please note: (1) Some time may elapse between deleting this information from our servers and from our backup, and (2) we may retain this information to fulfill our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our contracts.

Where we store and process the data of our users

Worldwide - In order to provide our services, data is stored, processed and transmitted at locations in Germany, the EU and other countries, including locations outside your country of residence. Data may also be stored locally on the devices you use to access the services.

Your control over and access to your data

You have control over your personal information and how it is collected, used and shared. For example, you can do the following:

• delete your content from your Dornheim account 
• Change or correct personal information - The account settings page allows you to manage your account and its contents, as well as edit some personal information.
• Accessing and collecting your information - You may also request a copy of the personal information you provided to us or that we collected from you, the business or trade purpose for which we collected the information, the type of sources we obtained it from, and the type of third parties to whom we shared it.
• Opting out of the processing of your personal data - Depending on the processing activity, you may request that we stop or limit the processing of your personal data.

Changes
